2017 Vintage was Carrie’s Cellar Club Wine Selection April 2024.
A saturated earth red color that is reminiscent of the red soils up at 2000 ft elevation of Rockpile vineyard and a nose that’s all about place! Mineral, mineral, mineral – terroir at its essence. This is followed by a sweet cassis and black cherry, iron and a feeling that this wine is tightly wound and ready to explode from the glass.
The palate shows incredible richness, a tight structure, and then a sweetness that will not only mesmerize but will open your eyes to the magic that is Rockpile Vineyard.
