Made from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah, La Croix is sourced from vineyards both on and around the historic Peyrassol estate, allowing for a broader Mediterranean influence within the IGP Méditerranée designation. The 2024 vintage benefited from dry, sunny conditions tempered by cool nights, preserving vibrancy and freshness in the fruit. Vinified entirely in stainless steel, the wine undergoes gentle pressing and low-temperature fermentation to enhance its aromatics and maintain purity. This rosé shows expressive red fruit tones balanced by a subtle mineral backbone and a light, floral lift. While easygoing and approachable, it maintains the Peyrassol signature of balance and finesse. Ideal with grilled shrimp, charcuterie, Provençal flatbreads, or simply enjoyed chilled on a sunny afternoon.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
Château Peyrassol, with roots tracing back to the 13th century and its founding by the Knights Templar, is one of Provence’s most esteemed and historic estates. Located in the foothills of the Massif des Maures, it spans over 800 hectares, including 100 under vine, all farmed organically. Since 2001, under the direction of Philippe Austruy, the estate has modernized while staying true to its terroir-driven philosophy. Peyrassol is known for producing rosés of depth and elegance across a range of cuvées—from structured, age-worthy bottlings to fresh, everyday expressions like La Croix. Across all tiers, their wines reflect sustainable farming, minimal intervention, and a deep respect for the Provençal landscape and lifestyle.
