Used
“Ricardo Glass” perfume bottle with original stopper by Australian glass artist Richard Lamprecht.
Signed to base “Ricardo Australia ’97”.
Measures 21cm with stopper, 14.5cm without, 7cm diameter. Weight 403g.
Early Ricardo Glass bottle, made the year after Richard Lamprecht established Ricardo Glass at Maleny in Queensland. This model was produced both as an oil burner and as a perfume or decorative bottle.
Perfect condition.
Austrian-born Richard Lamprecht (1956-) came to Australia in 1974. Trained as a designer, he worked alongside some of Australia’s pioneering studio glassblowers at Maleny Mood Lights, producing mainly oil burners. He built his own glass studio at Maleny, Queensland in 1996 and established Ricardo Glass as a major Australian glass studio, represented in major private and public collections.
